6 month well check

Don't let the cute smile below fool you...this little boy was NOT happy about his doctor's appointment this morning.  I probably should not have scheduled his appointment right in the middle of his nap time, but let's just say he was RAGING mad before the shots even came.  We had to wait almost an hour before even seeing the doctor, so I was running out of tricks to entertain a sleepy 6 month old. As soon as the doctor started checking him out, he let him know that he was absolutely not in the mood!  But, the good news is that he is a healthy, growing boy.  He is pretty much average in all departments, and that works for me :).  He is just perfect.  He was in a MUCH better mood when I got home from work this afternoon, and hopefully he has forgiven me for the dreadful morning he had.  (I think it is safe to say that I am more traumatized by the experience than he was.)

Clearly before the meltdown...

Are those not the cutest fat rolls you've
ever seen???  I just want to squeeze them!

6 months old!

I know I say it every time, but I REALLY can't believe that my tiny baby boy is 6 months old!! That is half way to his first birthday!  This is such a fun age.  He is such a happy little boy and is doing new things all the time.  His latest obsession is with his feet.  He grabs them and puts them directly in his mouth.  Pretty much everything he gets his hands on goes directly in his mouth.  I will write more about what he is up to these days later, but for now here is my handsome baby man (as Paul calls him) at 6 months old!

I hope everyone had a GREAT St. Patrick's Day.  It was a beautiful day in Columbia!

Weekend Getaway

Paul and I have been trying to get to Charleston for a weekend getaway for a while now.  We were supposed to go a couple weekends ago, but we all got sick and didn't make it.  So, we were finally able to pack up and head to the beach for a long weekend!  We had a fabulous time!

It's amazing how much STUFF you have
to bring when traveling with a baby.

First stop on Friday was to the outlet stores.  This was Brady's first shopping trip, and he did great.  He got a little fussy towards the end, but I couldn't blame him.  We had been shopping for over and hour.  After that we headed out to Wild Dunes.  I can't tell you how grateful we are to be able to use my dad and step mom's beach house.  It is like paradise!  I mean check out this view- heaven!

Brady got to see LOTS of family while we were there.  He got to see his Gmom, but I just realized we didn't get any pictures of them together- whoops!  Saturday morning we invited Paul's brother and his family over for breakfast.  Brady had a great time playing with his cousins.  William had Brady belly laughing.  Maggie was quick enough to catch part of it on camera.  (Please excuse how awful I look...we were on vacation and I had not gotten ready yet)

I just love that Brady has cousins so close in age to him!  They are going to have so much fun growing up together.

William, Caroline, and Brady

I love this picture! Caroline is just a month older than Brady.

This is right as Caroline squealed and Brady did not like it too much.
After breakfast, we headed over to my Grandma's house.  I am so glad Brady got to spend some time with his Great Grandmother.

Finally, Sunday Paul's sister, Paige, invited us over for lunch.  Brady was able to play with his cousins Walt, Emmie, and Henry.

Brady and Henry. How cute are they?  Brady is just 2 months older
than Henry.

"I like him!"

All the boys!  This picture cracks me up...I guess William was checking
to see if Brady had any teeth coming in.
I am so glad that we were finally able to make it to Charleston to visit everyone.  We had a great time!  I can't wait until this summer when Brady can take his first dip in the Atlantic!
