Professional Beach Pictures

Ok, this is the last post in regards to our beach trip, I promise.  While we were there I decided to have some professional pictures taken of our family.  I absolutely loved how they turned out and had a hard time narrowing down my favorites for the blog! (Side note: Brady busted his lip the night before we took these pictures- ahh memories :)

All photos were taken by Crescent Moon Photography.

Beach Trip 2013: Part 3

Another highlight of our trip was getting to see lots of friends and family that we don't get to see that often.  One of my besties from college, Cady Nell, came to see us one night.  It was so good getting to catch up.  We live two very different lives right now, yet we still have so much in common.  I love her to death, and I am so happy she came to visit us.

Brady was also lucky enough to get a play date in with his cousin, Henry! I just love seeing these two together.  They are just getting to the age where they really play together and get excited to see each other.  It is so fun to watch them play.  Brady calls him "He He"- so cute!

One day during Brady's nap time, Paul, Katelyn, and I ventured to downtown Charleston to do a little furniture shopping.  We stopped to take a picture in front of Paul's alma mater, The College of Charleston.

When we got home, Brady was out on the beach with Waldo and Frankie, so we decided to go join them.  It was a little windy, but it felt great out.

4 generations!
Of course, Brady was our chauffeur all week in the golf cart.

Doesn't get much better than this!
He took his first shower at the beach which the first time did result in the busted lip I mentioned earlier. But, he quickly got over that and wanted to be just like daddy!

There was also a playground down the road that was a quick golf cart ride away that we went to frequently.  He loved it and didn't want to leave!

Katelyn also got to meet her Great Aunt Allyson.

It was a fantastic week, and I wish we could go back tomorrow.  I can't wait for next year and couldn't help but keep imagining how fun next year will be when they are both able to run around on the beach.

Beach Trip 2013: Part 2

The rest of the week was a little bit more laid back.  We went to the pool, the beach, and just hung around the house.  It was great and a much needed break.  We lucked out and had PERFECT weather the whole time which was a nice change from the extra rainy summer we have had in Columbia.

Brady enjoyed laying out by the pool...

I even managed a little bit of alone time on the beach which was amazing.  Nothing like a little sun, sand, and silence for the sole!

Miss Katelyn even joined us on the beach a few times until the tent bit the dust, whoops.  We kind of forgot about the tent after coming inside to a slight catastrophe that involved Brady busting his lip.  Oh well, it was great while it lasted!

Nothing better than holding a snoozin' baby on the beach :).

I love these 2 so much!

Best Uncle ever!

After nap one day, Brady was NOT a happy camper.  So, we took a walk on the beach in his "Elmo hants" as his calls them.  After that, all was well with the world again :).

Still more to come...

Beach Trip 2013: Part 1

I have been looking forward to our family beach vacation since we started planning it back at the beginning of the year.  If you haven't figured it out by now, the beach is about my favorite place in the world.  I knew it would be different this year with a newborn and a toddler, but we still had a blast.  I have to break my posts up into several parts because I took SO MANY pictures (surprise, surprise).

The first couple of days were jam packed with people and parties!  On Sunday we had 3 parties to attend!  First up was Brady and Katelyn's cousin, Caroline's, 2nd birthday pool party.  Then, Francine's mother turned 90 so she threw a party for her at the beach with lots of their family there.  Finally, two of my step sisters got married recently with private ceremonies, so we had a big party at the Wild Dunes Owners' Club to celebrate their marriages. To say I was exhausted is an understatement, but we had a great time celebrating with everyone.

Brady had fun with all of his cousins and especially his Uncle Dustin.  I just love watching those two play together.  Even though Brady doesn't get to see him too often, it is clear that he loves him very much. I'm thinking Dustin loves him a little bit too ;).

Serious bubble bath!
