Thankful

I have many things to be thankful for, my health, my family, my husband, my friends, my job, but I am most thankful this year for the new addition to our family.  I could only dream last year about having a new baby for the holidays this year.  I am so thankful that God answered my prayers and blessed us with this sweet baby boy.  He is everything I could have dreamed of.  I just fall in love with him more everyday.  His sweet little smile just melts my heart!  I enjoy so much watching him grow and do new things everyday.  He has starting really focusing on things and studying our faces.  He smiles at us.  He "talks" to us with his sweet baby coos. He lifts his head up and looks around.  It is amazing how much he has changed in such little time.

For Thanksgiving this year, we stayed in town and ate dinner at my grandparents' house.  Then, we went to my Dad's and visited there for a while.  Brady was such a good boy, and I think he enjoyed his first Thanksgiving.

Brady and Aunt Katie!

Waldo, Uncle Duh Do, Great Grandma, and Riley of course.

Our family of three :)

He did pretty good about staying awake and visiting with everyone, but he slipped in a nap here and there. (Typical male on Thanksgiving, right?)

He loves his wubbanub! (And it is just so cute)

I am glad Brady was able to spend some more time with his Great Grandma.

Already in the Christmas spirit!

He loves to play on his changing table.

Paul and I have gotten away a couple nights to have some "adult" time.  But, we have never been gone too long. I start missing Brady the second we walk out the door.  But, I know it is important to get away and spend some time together baby free. Little things I love and want to remember: the way he looks up at me while he is nursing, the way he rubs his little feet on my arms and curls his toes while nursing, how he kicks and "talks" on his changing table, the smiles he gives me in the morning when I get him out of his crib, the many facial expressions he makes, and how he holds his wubbanub paci.  Some nights are better than others with his sleeping, but he has been in his crib all night every night (even if there are some midnight walks around the house).  He will go 5 or 6 hours sometimes, and I am definitely getting more sleep than I was, so for that I am thankful.  He is such a good, happy baby.  I love you to the moon sweet boy, and although I want to cherish every moment I can't wait to watch you grow and gain your little personality more each day.
