Brady's first day in the 2s!

Brady started in the 2s with Ms. Sonia at the end of August.  After a bad run his first year at school with getting sick, so far we have been in the clear (knock on wood)!  I am so glad he was able to get a 4 month break to stay home with me and Katelyn.  But, we are looking forward to a good year in the 2 year old room!

We picked him up at 12 on his first day and took him out to eat for being such a good boy.  It was game day, so of course he had to represent for the Gamecocks!  We ask him after school what he did that day, and he typically tell us "play park", "snack", and sometimes "night night".  I think that is a pretty good synopsis of his day coming from a 2 year old.

He loves to hold his baby.

He was excited I promise.

Just in time for snack- his favorite activity!

He looks so grown up!

End of summer trip to the lake

After a whole summer of the boat being out of commission, we were ready for our first cruise of the summer.  We all know Brady loves to drive, so we figured he would be thrilled to drive the boat!  While he did enjoy driving, he was too busy to stay in one spot the whole time.  He walked back and forth in that boat about 30 times.  Time to upgrade to the pontoon (hint hint Waldo).  Katelyn in her usual sweet fashion tagged along like a trooper.  It was a little chilly with the wind, so I had her wrapped up tight.  She did cry for a little bit when we first got going, but then she fell fast asleep for the rest of the ride.

This has been such an awesome summer!  I have absolutely loved being home with my babies and getting to do lots of fun stuff without having to worry about work.  I am so sad to have to go back next week.  It means the end of my short stent as a stay at home mom, and it means that Katelyn is growing up too fast!  It definitely does not get easier the second time around, but I know we will get into a routine soon.  So long summer, until we meet again next year...

Could he be any cuter?!

Poor girl..I know the life jacket couldn't be comfortable, but better safe than sorry!

Doing some yard work with Frankie!  Don't worry Brady, they will have you raking leaves up there before you know it.

The birthday party

Our new neighborhood has a really nice clubhouse with a play ground, tennis courts, and a pool that we can use, so that is where we decided to have Brady's birthday party since we are practically homeless right now. It turned out to be the perfect venue.  I will admit I was very unorganized for the party.  With everything going on, I just had not really had a chance to think about it too much, but it all came together at the last minute.  It ended up being a great party, and I think everyone had a great time!

My grandparents, Gigi and Geno, and Katelyn.

Aunt Paige, Nanna, Aunt Maggie, and Amanda

Lots of yummy food, and Paul put together a 3,000 picture slideshow of Brady.  I can't even imagine what his highschool graduation party or rehearsal dinner for his wedding will be like.

Paul made sure I took his picture doing a flip in the bounce house. I love that he is such a kid at heart.

We have got to teach my dad how to smile for pictures :).
