I was dreading the day. The day that I had to venture back into the real world. It was the end of sweat pants and baby talk all day long. I had to enter the challenging world of being a working mom. I knew the day would come, but I had been trying not to think about it. I postponed going back as long as I could. I am thankful to have had the time to spend with Brady at home, but I wish it didn't have to end. The night before my first day I had a slight emotional break down, but I did better than I imagined on my first day. It has officially been two weeks that I have been back, and it has been better than expected. I have not cried at the office once (yay me!), and I have been able to continue breast feeding with the help of my trusty pump. I miss my baby boy SO MUCH during the day, but he is at home and in great hands. Plus, Paul has been great about keeping him in the morning for an hour or so and in the afternoon before I get home. Brady still seems happy as ever, and I look forward to seeing that adorable gummy grin every afternoon when I walk in the door.

Oh my gosh it's Papa!

It still amazes me how fast he grows and changes! He is still not a fan of tummy time, but we are working on it. He does new things every day. For example, as I type this I am watching him roll onto his side on his play mat. That's certainly a new move!

I love the drool...there is lots of that. |
One fact that there is no denying is that this boy LOVES his daddy. He just lights up when he sees him. His daddy can always get the best smiles out of him. He just thinks he is hilarious. I have to say, he is pretty funny.
He enjoys sitting up in his bumbo chair. He has gotten really good at it.

We have also entered the world of solid foods! Brady loves them! So far he has thoroughly enjoyed: rice cereal, bananas, squash and carrots. He was not too thrilled with apples for whatever reason. I have been making all of his food at home using the magic bullet. I discovered this mechanism at my dad's house and thought it was the prefect tool for homemade baby food. They actually make a version called the baby bullet which is really what I sent Paul to get, but he came home with the magic bullet. It works just the same. Paul finds it funny that I want to cook all of Brady's food, but I won't ever cook for him. But, it is kind of hard to screw up pureed carrots.

Yummy! |
This last picture I just had to share with anyone who knows my dad and his love, or lack there of, for dogs. He came over to keep Brady for us one night and Riley was SO HAPPY that he came to babysit him! Riley gave him a big stink in kiss on the lips. He loves his Waldo too :).
